Python in your spreadsheet, on your own computer.

Dazr Sheets runs real Python with pandas and numpy on your device, also without an internet connection. Read a range, work on it and write the result back to your sheet, on every plan, the free one included.

How it works.

A script next to your data, in the same tab.

Insert, then Python

Open the Python panel from the Insert tab and write a script next to your data. Press Ctrl+Enter, or Cmd+Enter on a Mac, to run it.

Read and write cells

sheet.range reads a range as rows and sheet.df as a pandas DataFrame. sheet.write and sheet.write_df put the results back, and text that starts with = becomes a formula.

One step to undo

What a script writes reaches the sheet when it ends, as one step you can undo.

On your device.

Your data stays where it is.

Real CPython

Python compiled to WebAssembly with Pyodide, running in your browser on your own computer.

Also offline

Python loads the first time you open the panel and is then kept on your device, so it also works without a connection.

Your data stays in the app

Scripts run in the background with no network access, so your data does not leave the app.

pandas and numpy

pandas and numpy load the first time a script uses them, next to the standard library: statistics, json, re, datetime, collections, math, csv and more.

On every plan

Python in Sheets is included on every plan, the free one too. No add-on and no extra licence.

Python on your device

Python with pandas and numpy runs in Sheets on your own computer, also offline, on every plan. Python in Excel for the web runs in Microsoft’s cloud and needs a paid Microsoft 365 plan.

Questions, answered.

No. Python in Sheets is on every plan, the free one included.

Which libraries can I use?

The Python standard library, numpy and pandas.

Can I use it on my Excel workbooks?

Yes. Dazr Sheets opens and saves .xlsx with formulas, tables, charts and named ranges, so you can run Python on an Excel workbook and send it back as .xlsx.
